With reference to Mr. Ormsby Gore's despatch

No. 356 of 24th September, 1936, conveying His Majesty's

confirmation of the provisional appointment of Sir

Robert Hormus Kotewall, Kt., C.M.G., LL.D., to be an

unofficial member of the Executive Council, I have the

honour to inform Your Lordship that Sir Robert Kotewall's

term of office as a member of the Executive Council

will expire on 8th July, 1941.

I have the honour to request Your Lordship's

approval of the appointment of Sir Robert Kotewall for

a further term of five years with effect from 9th July,

1941. A telegraphic reply is requested.
